In a recent frenzy of organization, I cleaned my office closet. I found a number of treasures, including this 1979 article I wrote for the “Commercial Mail” about hometown sweetheart, Janie Fricke. Not sure it is readable, but it’s fun to see.
Photography was more of a learned effort for me; 33 years ago I was still shooting with the paper’s ancient Dual Lenses Rolleiflex.
Note: At one point in her career, Fricke used the spelling “Frickie.” While I am not sure what she uses today, I am going with the “Fricke” which is how I knew her family when I was growing up. With her partner she sang at many South Whitley High School FFA (Future Farmer of America) events, where my father was the vocational agriculture teacher.
